The Ethical Implication of Pre-Qin Etiquette Culture

Pre-Qin etiquette culture is an important component part of Chinese traditional culture, and including etiquette custom, etiquette system, etiquette science and etiquette education. Its essence is morality and its goal is to maintain the social order and stability through making some rites and forming some moral rules of coordinating the ethical relationship of human and heaven (Goods), persons of family, politics and social association. Specifically, its rules embody the religion ethical rules which focus on worshiping Goods, environmental ethical rules which emphasize the harmonious relationship of human and nature, family ethical rules which focus on showing filial piety to parents, political ethical rules focus on being loyal to sovereign, and social ethical rules which emphasize respecting the elders and upholding the morality.
