Abstract: "The wise free from perplexities" is one of Junzi's three major virtues that Confucianists respected in pre-Qin Dynasty. The reason of "the wise free from perplexities" is not just having a sense of cognitive ability in epistemology that can understand things and the laws of nature, but mainly refers to the moral rationality that makes man understand good and discard evil in activities. It contains distinguishing right from wrong and good from evil, being good at self-awareness and understanding others, knowing the most immediate thing to do and the trend of the times. It is precisely because of the stress of moral wisdom that,to some extent,Confucianism becomes the "true man education",which is different from the "love of wisdom" in the West. The humanistic implication of "the wise free from perplexities",may help to transform the climate in modern society that is too dependent on technical rationality. It is the important ideological resources of a harmonious culture construction that based on unification of truth, good and beauty, and advocating the overall development of people.
