Abstract: There are many definitions for what is applied ethics regardless of internal academic circles or external academic circles, but each definition has its dilemma It lies in that the name of applied ethics is incorrect and what is said doesn't accord with reason. This situation needs rectifying name,replacing applied ethics with department ethics. This title conforms to criterion of discipline division and has ample foundation of academics.This new title can clarify many theoretical problems that applied ethics can not explain.

摘要： 无论国内还是国外,都对“什么是应用伦理学”的问题有多种不同界说。但每种界说都存在困窘。究其原因,均是“应用伦理学”之“名不正则言不顺”所致。这就需要正名,以“部门伦理学”之谓取而代之。这个称谓符合学科划分标准,有充分的学理依据。这个新称谓能澄清不少用“应用伦理学”之谓所解释不清的理论问题。
