Abstract: The doctrine of "Tiantao"(heavenly laws) and "Xing-Ming"(humanity - will)is one of the main contents in Neo-Confucianism in Song and Ming Dynasties. It links heaven with man, inner with exterior, metaphysics with physics, and brings about more metaphysical meanings to Confucian Philosophy of Pre-Qing Dynasty. The doctrine transcends the purpose of pure utility, and has more value in the ethics. It not only discusses concrete moral norms or moral entry, but also reflects transcendental source and inner basis of morality. The "metaphysical morality" is helpful for cultivating people's transcendental moral consciousness.
