Abstract: To build a well-off society in an all-round way needs ethical spirit to support. This essay relates it to molding urban spirit, and considers that urban ethical spirit, as an indication of progress of this era, is the core and the soul of urban spirit, as well as the spiritual force and the basic aim of value for building a well-off society in all-round way. At present, eight special connotations of the urban ethical spirit corresponding to the development of the time should be hold high in the process of building the well-off society, and meanwhile concrete approaches that achieve these urban ethical spirit should be formed deliberately based upon the practical changes of modern society.
