Abstract: The contemplation on life and death has formed the wideness and profoundness of man's philosophy. Many intelligent thinkers in ancient Chinese philosophy were concerned with life and death, among whom, sages in Taoist school considered it in a broad way: all is found in one, which goes beyond time and space, gains and losses, establishing the philosophy featured in surpassing death, life and death coexisting. Owing to its rich resources, profound ideas, refined tastes and unique aesthetic senses, Taoists' philosophy is an essential part of Chinese even world's life and death theory, causing a great impact on the descendants.
