Abstract: Zengzi played an important role of forming a connecting link between what comes before and what goes after in the process of changes of thoughts between Confucius Mencius. It is said that‘It is Zengzi who grasped the spirit of Confucius’teachings. On the one hand, Zengzi inherited and developed Confucius’thought of valuing filial piety, moral cultivation, ideal personality and etc. On the other hand, Zengzi inspired directly the later Zisi and Mencius to form their thoughts. Zengzi’s thoughts ethical politics is the essential step to systematize and theorize Confucius’thought.
