Abstract: The basic content of the core values system of the socialism is a structural exist. It contains the four basic elements consisting of different nature, in which Marxism is the guiding ideology-oriented content, the common ideal of socialism with Chinese characteristics is target content, the national sprit with patriotism as the core and the spirit of the times with the reform and innovation as the core are the emotional and dynamic content, socialist concept of honor is the basic content. From the level of the structure, the four basic elements consisted of the core values system of socialism, from the lowest level to the highest, constitutes overall framework structure which is logically rigorous, structured, from high to low, and theory to practice. But each also has its own characteristics of the hierarchical structure.
