Abstract: Revealing the change of rural economic development and exploring the role of ethics and cultural development of the rural economy are two interrelated aspects of the study of rural economy. This paper discusses the resource significance and applied path of a number of classics in the field, including Marx's exposition on the characteristics of small farmers and their ethics, Weber's comparative study to the economic development of different religions, ethics and ethical actions ,Scott's idea of "survival ethic of farmers " and Fei Xiaotong's theory of the "Rural China" ethical characteristics analysis.
