Abstract: The paper analyzes the personal responsibility for health from Confucian perspective, and compares Confucian views with liberalism and communitarianism. According to Confucianism individual should take a strong moral responsibility for his or her own health, meanwhile for family members and others’. This has important ideological implications for the deep thinking of personal social responsibility for health promotion.
